MRS. PYRA T STINES Mrs. Pyra T Stines was born in Moriah, Essex country, New York, July 9th, 1824 and died in Fairmont January 1st 1899, age 74 years, 6 months and 22 days. She married Henry Stines on December 24, 1846. Subsequently they moved to Niagara county, New York, thence to Iowa and finall to Nebraska where she spent the remainder of life. She united with the Methodist Espiscopal church in her youth and with a short exception maintained her membership in the church of her choice until her departure. Her husband died in Andersonville prison, July 27th , 1864. Being left early a widow she had much to contend with, but she trumped and brought up her family well. She has gone to rest in the bosom of Him who was her stay in life. She was survived by her children Harry Percy who married Clara Rose, Olive Eloise-Mrs Isreal Heckman, Eva-Mrs David Billick, Shelly who married Sarah Bennett, Stella- Mrs John Foster and a son Fletcher who never married.
