Rabbi Dov Berish Halevi Ashkenazi

Please note that although Rabbi Dov Berish Halevi Ashkenazi is given the father Moshe Zalman ben Yehudah haChassid, there is no evidence that his father and the Kalonymos ancestry he stems from is a HaLevi lineage. Meanwhile R' Dov HaLevy and his descending line are HaLevi. Until some source evidence of the ascending line's Levitic status is brought to light, this father-son connection should be considered dubious. (17 April 2023).
