Misc. Rachel raised a girl named Frances Toler. (See letter from John N ee ly to Louis & Hannah Gor e dated Feb. 2d, 185 9). Rachel's 2d husban d, Jos eph Gore, mentions a Frances Gore in his will. Cou ld she be one a nd the s ame as Frances Toler? Perhaps Joseph had adopted her.

Rachel and her second husband, Joseph Goar, tended a mill at Bull Fal ls un til her death.
