Her will cut off son-in-law Edward Rawson with one shilling but beq. 40 pounds to daughter Rachel and their daughter, as noted below Rachel's 40 pounds were to be delivered to Mr. Webb's house in London where Rachel was to have a friend accept the money for her... states Rawson had acknowledged receipt portion of 300 pounds at marriage, cites Suffolk MA Deeds. Will 31 March 1656 proved 13 Nov 1656, to be buried in the church at Gillingham, has a living at Easthaimes in Wiltshire which as by a lease bearing the date 12 Oct 12th of late King Charles, under the hand of William, Lord Stowerton for four score and nineteen years should she and her sons live that long. Named eldest son Richard, other son John, daughter Rachel (Rawson) to have 40 pounds and some to her children but Edward Rawson cut off with one shilling as he had rec'd 300 pounds at marriage c 1637. Rachel's 40 pounds were to be delivered to Mr. Webb's house in London where Rachel was to have a friend accept the money for her...to other son-in-law John Tyse 1 shilling, dau Marie Tyse 30 pounds and goods at her house at Orcheston St Georges. Names brother Peter Greene and sister Anne Stagg. She names her three servants and remembers the minister and the poor of the parish.
Visitation of Dorset 1623 - page 85. Giles, son of Giles Stagg, married Anne daughter of Richard Greene of Bowridge Hill and Gillingham in Dorset. She was sister to Surgeon John Greene and early settler in Warwick, Rhode Island. A sister Rachel was wife of Richard Perne, and mother of Rachel, wife of Edward Rawson, Sec. to the Mass Bay Colony.[3]
