Rajee Bai Srinivasa Rao

Rajee Bai was the sweetest of persons. She loved her grand children and would welcome me with a smile whenever I visited her to give her the monthly financial assistance sent by her son B. S. Madhava Rao. She would ask me to sit down and talk with her for at least 15 minutes, before I could take off. She lived in a small single room on Model House Street and her nieces (her son Gopalakrishna Rao's daughters) lived in the front house. She always cooked on a charcoal fire, used small cooking vessels and made very tasty dishes. Sadly she passed away at the ripe old age of 98. God bless her soul!
