Randy “Big Randy” West, age 66, of Maypearl, Texas, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017, at his home.
He was born March 15, 1951, in Westhope, North Dakota to Burl and Freda (Toftland) West.
He served in the U. S. Navy during Vietnam for eight years, and 4 of those were Special Ops. Randy was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post #3894.
He was once a member of the Gryphons Motorcycle Club, and the Lords Motorcycle Club, and participated in the Ellis County Toy Run. Randy loved his “toys” which included his Harleys and his Wild West Truck. He enjoyed antiques, especially vintage motorcycle replicas and furniture, riding his bike and hanging out with friends and his special cousins, Terry and Doug. Randy loved kids and was a generous, loving man who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Lou McFadin; three nieces, Alisha Wickens, Lori Case and husband Ian and Brandi Vencill; great nieces and nephews, Shannon, Megan, Tyler, Zachary, and Bentley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Freda West and one brother, Freddy West.
