Ray Hunter

Born in Perquimans County he was the son of the late Abbott Shepard and Lillie Mae Harrell Hunter. He was a retired farmer, had worked as a site manager with Waste Industries and was a member of Anderson United Methodist Church and the Bear Swamp Hunt Club.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie Allen Hunter; a step-daughter, Patrice Alligood and her husband, Timmy, of Washington, N.C.; a step-son, Henry Charles "Chuck" Latham Jr. of Belhaven, N.C.; two sisters, Marie Leary of Hertford and Lillie Ambrose of Elizabeth City; two brothers, A. Marvin Hunter and W.G. "Pete" Hunter, both of Hertford; and 4 grandchildren.
