Raymon Peter Ecker, 76, died July 25, 2001 in American Fork, Utah
He was born March 7, 1925 in Salt Lake City to Peter S. and Gudrun Kristine Kaalstad Ecker.
He married Dorothy Christensen April 15, 1946 in Salt Lake City, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Ray graduated from South High School and attended the University of Utah, where he was a member of the basketball team. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, but his greatest joy was being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children: David (Laura) Ecker, Redmond, Utah; Susan (Russel) North, Sandy, Utah; Kristine (Paul) Argyle, St. George, Utah; Scott Ecker, Sweet Water Bear Lake, Utah; Robert C. Ecker, Salt Lake City, Utah; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold S. Ecker, Pleasant View, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Norma Larrabee.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 30, at 11a.m. in the American Fork 6th Ward, 300 North 100 East. Friends may call at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork, Sunday 6-8 p.m., and Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, American Fork Cemetery with Military Rites by VFW, District 4.
