Raymond S. Kauders

Raymond S. Kauders, 88, a Harbor resident for over 30 years, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Raymond was born on November 25, 1924, in Chicago, Illinois to Elias and Elsie (Stern) Kauders. He had married Mavis Arlene Kauders and she had passed away on October 3, 1975, in New York, N.Y. He then married Elizabeth Vogd on February 20, 1976, in Pittsburgh, Pa. and moved to Elma and then to Montesano soon after marriage. Elizabeth died on April 4, 2004. Raymond had worked for the railroads in New York and as a sales rep for his father’s mattress business on Long Island, New York. Raymond loved to sing and on one occasion he was the performing Tenor at Carnegie Recital Hall in New York on October 16, 1971. He absolutely loved the Opera. Raymond and Elizabeth will be placed in Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Wash. Arrangements are entrusted to Fern Hill Funeral Home, Aberdeen.
