Memorial services for Raymond E. Kruger, 90, of Flandreau, SD were held Wednesday, March 26, 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Lake Benton, MN.

Officiant was Daniel Krotzer.

Interment was in Memorial Hill Cemetery, Lake Benton.

Arrangements by Utoft-Johansen Funeral & Cremation Services, Lake Benton and Tyler; Richard and Diane Sartell, Directors.

Raymond E. Kruger was born October 6, 1912 at Pipestone County, Minnesota to Otto and Augusta (Schultz) Kruger. Raymond died Thursday, March 20, 2003 at Riverview Manor, Flandreau, SD, at the age of 90 years, five months and 14 days.

Raymond grew up on the farm and attended country school in the Lake Benton area. Raymond was united in marriage to Irene Grenz October 20, 1936 at Lake Benton. They were blessed with two children. Raymond and Irene made their home and farmed in rural Elkton, SD. Irene died December 24, 1991.

Raymond retired from farming 1977 and moved to Elkton, SD. He became a resident at the Riverview Manor, Flandreau, SD in September, 2000.

Raymond will be lovingly remembered by his children: Ralph (Eileen) Kruger of Elkton, SD and Myrna (Elroy) Bessler of Byron, MN; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Elmer (Joyce) Kruger of Volga, SD.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Irene; his parents; and two brothers: Ernest and Robert.
