Raymond M. Lustig - CH water, employee

Raymond M Lustig, a one year resident of Effingham, Douglas, Effingham, Illinois, USA formerly a 61 year resident of Chicago Heights and a former employee of the Chicago Heights Water Department, died Tuesday, Dec 3, at St Anthony Hospital, Effingham.

Services will be at 11 am Saturday with a funeral Mass at St Liborius Church, Steger, with the Rev Joseph Burns officiating. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday at Hirsch's West End Chapel, Chicago Heights

Mr. Lustig was born Nov 16, 1909, in Island Grove, Grove, Jasper, Illinois, USA He was employed as a truck driver with the Teamsters Union locals 801 and 105 for 36 years. After retiring, he worked at the city of Chicago Heights Water Department for eight years.

A resident of Chicago Heights from 1929, he was a member of the former St Ann Church in Chicago Heights, where he was an usher and member of the Holy Name Society and the St Ann Senior Citizens Harvest Housing.

Mr. Lustig is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esther (nee Lowen); a daughter, Sharon Helmink of rural Montrose, Saint Francis, Effingham, Illinois, USA; a son, Don of South Chicago Heights; three sisters-in-law; and three grandchildren.
