July 15, 1917 - June 13, 1996 Raymond Devoe MIDDAUGH, 78, Argos, died at 8:12 a.m. Thursday at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth. Born near Nappanee to Henry and Iola RINEHART MIDDAUGH, he married Alberta Caroline SNYDER in 1940. She survives. He is a retired farmer and had been employed by Mid-West Spring and Niff-Coor, both of Mentone, Gerring Industries and Monitor Trailer, both of Etna Green, and R. J. Reynolds, Plymouth. He was a member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren, Marshall County Farm Bureau, and Farm Bureau Co-op. Preceding him in death were one son, David MIDDAUGH; one sister, Helen BRIGGS; and one brother, Robert MIDDAUGH. Surviving with his wife are two daughtrs Jean WALLACE, Warsaw, and Carolyn Sue MANNS, Akron; three sons, Charles MIDDAUGH and his wife Rita, and Steven MIDDAUGH and his wife Sharon, both of Argos, and Carl MIDDAUGH and his wife Jill, Bourbon; fourteen grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Pauline SHOEMAKER, Burket, and Mary Louise WAGONER, Argos. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Walnut Church of the Brethren, southeast of Argos, with the Revs. Tony SCHNEIDERS and Robert RICE officiating. Burial will be at the Argos Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. at the Grossman Funeral Home and for one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials can be made to Argos Dollars for Scholars or the Walnut Church of the Brethren.
