Age 95 years. Buried November 29, 1913. On January 21, 1840 as Rebecca Hay, she married Columbus Alexander in the District of Columbia.
The Washington Post Friday, November 28, 1913 Death of Mrs. Rebecca Alexander Mrs. Rebecca Alexander, widow of Columbus Alexander died yesterday at the Toronto, 2002 P Street Northwest where she lived.
Funeral services will be held in Holy Trinity Church, Georgetown at 9 o'clock Saturday morning and will be conducted by the Rev. Father Corbett. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Virginia, but early removed to Washington and has spent most of her life in this city. One child, Douglas Alexander of this city survives her.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell are the parents of three children: Louise R., wife of Lester Hayward, of Los Angeles, who now makes her residence in Washington; Katharine, wife of John Weisiger, of Richmond, Virginia; Eva, wife of Harry V. Bouic, son of State Senator Bouic, of Maryland. 2. Columbus S. 3. Walter O., a physician. 4. Fendall E., who became a great lawyer. 5. Henry H., who was one of the first government employees in Washington, an expert court stenographer, who recorded the trial proceedings from first to last after the assassination of President Garfield. 6.
