Per the 1860 US Census Rebecca was living with her husband Simon and their children George, William, Henry, Susan, Simon, Barbara, and Mary in Mountour Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Mary Hauck (Spelled 'Houck' on the Census), Rebecca's sister, was living with the family. It is believed that Rebecca's sister Mary was widowed at this time.
Per the 1870 Census Simon Lynn, 62, and Rebecca Lynn, 59, are listed as living in Montour Township, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. Simon listed his occupation as Laborer, while Rebecca listed her's as keeping house. They lived with or in close proximity to their Daughter Barbara Ellen, 17, her husband David Lavan (Levan), 32, and their grandson Charles, 7 months old.
Per the 1880 Census (June 7, 1880) Rebecca Linn, 75, is widowed, and living with her sister Mary Hauck, 67, who is also widowed, in Montour Township of Columbia County, Pennsylvania. Additionally a Ellen Lowenberg, 13, is listed as a servant, and a George Knorr, 75, is listed as a widower. Rebecca Linn's birth year is estimated as 1805, Mary's as 1813. Mary and Rebecca stated that their mother was born in Germany but no country of origin is stated for their father. It is believed that Rebecca and Mary's maiden name was Spring or Springer. On her son William Simon Linn's Death Certificate Rebecca's maiden name is stated as Springer (Information provided by her son Thomas Clinton Linn).
