Rebecca Cornell was born on 17 February 1755 to Gideon Cornell and Rebecca Vaughan of Newport, Rhode Island.[1]
She married Clement Biddle, son of John and Philis Biddle of Pennsylvania, on 18d 8m 1774.[2] They had thirteen children (five died in childhood).[1]

According to The Rotches, Rebecca is a 'lineal' ancestor of Francis Biddle, Attorney General in the cabinet of Frankin. D. Roosevelt.[1]
