Mr A. Christophers, of Invercargill, has been advised that his eldest son, Lieutenant Reginald G. Christophers, is dangerously ill, having received serious gunshot wounds in the neck. Mr and Mrs Christophers have given four sons to the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, of whom three have fallen in action. Lieutenant Reginald G. Christophers is a married man with three children, and volunteered for active service out of a high sense of his duty to his country.

News has been received that Lieutenant Reginald Gillon Christophers, eldest son of Mr A. Christophers, Invercargill had died of wounds. He married the second daughter of Mr P. A. Vyner, of Southland, who, with her two little sons, is living in Remuera, Auckland. A sister of Mrs Christophers is Miss M. Vyner, or Fendalton.
