About Reginald Grant Anderson, II
Reginald Grant Anderson, 11, not Jr.. I really liked him on our first date, which was a blind date arranged by Rogan Coombs. We attended a dinner and dance held at the Benbow Inn. He did not like to dance so he took me out behind the Inn and we stole a canoe from the Inn and went riding on the Benbow Lake. He did not call me again for six weeks and I thought that it was a one time date. He finally called me and it was a love affair from then on. Wally Nickols told him that if he did'nt want to lose me, he had better ask me to marry him since I was also seeing another fellow. We were married on June 8th, 1958 which was just one year from the first date. He was a loving and wonderful husband and father. I'm positive that we had more happiness in our six years of marriage than most marriages. He was truely my solemate. We liked the same things and often thought the same way. He was very proud of Cindi and Grant 111. They could hardly wait each working day for him to come home. Needless to say that it was the sadest day of my life when the lord needed him and I'm sure that he is in heaven waiting for us.
