About Reuben Alexander Stewart Knott
Reuben Alexander Stewart Knott, a well known Mount Solon farmer, died at his home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, after an illness of pneumonia for five days.
Mr. Knott was born at Mount Solon, April 25, 1866, to Cornelius Staley and Lydia M. (Stoutamyer) Knott, and spent his entire life in the community.
He is survived by his wife, Miss Mary Susan Wichael and six children- Walter P. Knott, of Hinton, and Robert A. Knott, E. Paul Knott, Gordon C. Knott, Mrs. A. Troce Michael, and Miss Martha Knott, all of Mount Solon. He also leaves 5 brothers- James Knott, Robert E. Knott , O.C. Knott, John Knott and Cleveland Knott. Six sisters- Mrs. Jennie Crummett, Mrs. Rebecca Shank, Mrs. Mary Martin, Mrs. Maggie Heatwole, Mrs. Nettie Shull, and Mrs. Ollie Whistleman, and five grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held from the Emmanuel Church Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J.M. Foster and Rev. M.G. Senger. The casket will not be opened at the church.
