Biography

Reuben Whittier, son of Nathaniel Whittier and Mary (Stevens) Whittier,

was born in Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony

on March 17, 1685/6.[1][2]

The marriage intentions of Reuben and Deborah Pillsbury

were published on November 13, 1708[3][4]

and they were married on December 19, 1708.[5][6]

Reuben was a member of the Salisbury town militia and

was part of the one-half company of men who were impressed into her majesty's service

for an expedition to Exeter, New Hampshire in 1710.[3]

Reuben and Deborah had the following children, all born in Salisbury:
