About Rev Allen H. Hoffer
The Rev. Allen H. Hoffer, 81, 428 Ebenezer Rd., died unexpectedly Wednesday morning in Lancaster General Hospital. He had been under the care of a physician. Born in Rapho Township, Lancaster County, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Manheim Brethren in Christ Church. He was a pastor of Bethel Chapel, Reinholds, and served at evangelistic and tent meetings. He was a son of the late Allen and Fannie Hershey Hoffer and the husband of Esther Wenger Hoffer. His first wife, Stella Gantz Hoffer, died in 1965. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Almeda Ginder, Mount Joy RD 2, and Mary, wife of Harry E. Dohner, Middletown; a son, Blaine G., Lebanon RD 4; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister, Fannie, wife of Jonas Snavely, Lebanon, and two brothers, Henry H., Manheim RD 3, and Samuel H., Elizabethtown.
