About Reverend Ambrose Smith
I found a note from my grandmother, Anne Eliza (Smith) Fowle attached to an old key. She says "This little key goes with the little wooden trunk, about 12 inches wide, 22 inches long and 8 inches high. The trunk was originally covered with deerskin (fur) to ride on top of the stagecoach and carry written sermons of Ambrose Smith, father of Francis Egerton Smith" Francis Smith was her father; Rev. Ambrose Smith was her grandfather.
I have the little wooden trunk.
