About Rev. John Tuck
The obelisk built of NH granite looms from the rocky surface of Star Island where Rev. John Tucke ministered to the "Shoalers" before the American Revolution. Graduated from Harvard in 1723, Tucke served on Star Island from 1732 until his death 41 years later. He served as minister, teacher, Magistrate and doctor.
