REV. OTHO FITZGERALD.
23 YEARS' SERVICE TO PARISH. The Rev. Otho Fitzgerald will preach from the pulpit of Holy Trinity Church, Avonside, tomorrow evening for the last time as vicar. • Mr Fitzgerald has given 23 years of faithful service to the parish, and his severance from it will be as unostentatious as has been the doing of the good works that have marked his ministry. He is a son of Mr James Edward Fitzgerald, the founder of "The Press," and the first superintendent of Canterbury. He was born in Wellington following his- father's transfer to the capital after the establishment of central government. Mr Fitzgerald was ordained deacon in Wellington in 1893, and priest in 1897 in Lichfield; he was curate of St. Mark's, Wellington. 1893-5; curate, Holy Trinity, Hope Hanley, Staffordshire, 1896-7; vicar St. Thomas's, Wellington, 1898-1901; U.M.C.A., 1902; vicar Waipiro Bay, 1903-6; priest-in-charge, Holy Trinity, Lyttelton, 1906; vicar of Malvern, 1907-8; vicar of Governor's Bav, 1909-10; curate Holy Trinity, Avonside, 1911-12, and vicar, 191233.
