Rev. Richard Pack, was a brother of Rev. Thomas Pack, Dean of Ossory, and a son of Thomas Packe, a merchant from Ballinakill, Queen's Co. He entered Trinity College Dublin June 7, 1748, aged 14. He received his B.A. in 1752, M.A. in 1773, LL.B. and LL.D. in 1774.
He was Treasurer of Leighlin Cathedral, and Principal of Ormonde School, later called Kilkenny College.

RICHARD PACK was born 1734 in Kilkenny, Ireland, and died Mar 1781. He Married Mary, dau. of Anthony Percy, Ballintemple, King's Co. & had seven sons & three daughters.
He (Eric Pack) noted that two of the sons of Richard PACK and Mary PERCY were killed at Waterloo.
