

Son of Michael and Mary Isabelle "Polly" Morgan Kenoyer. Husband of Sarah Ellen Kenoyer, married 23 OCT 1839 in Dubois County, Indiaia.
Civil War 21st Regiment, Missouri Infantry. Served at the Battle of Shiloh.
"...Samuel and Sarah moved to Kentucky from Indiana and from there to MO in the autumn of 1840. They walked from Hannibal, MO to 4 miles west of Edina. They had only fifty cents left when they arrived at their new home. They remained here only a short time before moving to the eastern part of Schuyler Co. near what is known as the Old Camp Ground. At this place they entered 80 acres of land and made the first improvements on it without horses or implements. They remained here for two years then moved to Knox Co, MO. They went to Scotland CO in 1855 settling 3 miles north of Sanhill, moving again in 1880 to Adair CO...In the spring of 1882, the family left MO and went to Chapman, NB. In the fall of 1891, Samuel and his wife moved to Yuba CO, CA and then to Hanford, Kings CO, CA where Samuel died....Samuel was licensed to preach by the Methodist Church at the age of 20 and he continued preaching until his death...Samuel served w1 months of military service in the Civil War, member of Co.
