Rhoda "Rhody" Clark was born circa 1700. Her parents are not known.

Rhoda married twice:

Circa 1720 she married her 1st husband, Thomas Simpson, Jr. of Accomack County, VA.

Rhoda & Thomas Simpson had 1 child: Col. Southy Simpson (b ca 1720 - d 1779).

Thomas died in 1727 and on March 6, 1727 she was named as administrator of Thomas Simpson, Jr's estate at Accomack County, VA.

Circa 1728 she married her 2nd husband, Peter Parker Copes, a son of Giles Copes III and Elizabeth Parker at Accomack County, VA.

Rhoda & Peter Parker Copes were the parents of 4 known children:

Peter Parker Copes II (b ca 1730 - d 7/31/1770); Charles Copes, Sr. (b ca 1740); Solomon Copes (b ca 1750 - d 1/28/1778) and Capt. Thomas Copes (b ca 1750).

Rhoda was named in her husband's will on February 11, 1760 at Accomack County, VA. She was shown as wife, Rhody in the will of Peter Parker Copes.

It is not known where/when Rhoda died; however, this is where the paper trail appears to come to an end.
