Rhoda died of peritonitis at Topeka, Kansas.
In her will, she left what remained of her Raid Claim, the same being a certificate of loss sustained in the raid upon Laurence, August 21, 1863, to Jeannette Trask Wheeler, her niece. She also left other property related to the raid to J.T. Wheeler.
