About Richard Fenner
Notes
Transcript of the Lay Subsidy Roll of 1524/5 for Sussex, showing Richard Fenner assessed as having an income of £4 from land in Crawley - the amount quoted in the will of John Fenner 1513. Thomas Culpeper, who lived at Rowley house, Lowfield Heath, is paying far and away the most. This could include the obligations of his wife, who held John Fenner's inheritance lands until her children came of age. From http://www.sussexrecordsociety.org.uk/booki.asp?BookId=srs056088&Xi...
