See p 35, Shephard states John Hall of Wallingford b 1605 had no child Richard b 1645. There is a Richard Hall b 1672, d 1725 in Middletown Ct, later New Haven and wife Hannah, buried in Grove St Cemetery New Haven CT. He was the son of Cpt John and Elizabeth (Cornwall) Hall of Middletown CT. Cpt John did buy some land in Wallingford and willed it to his grandson Samuel Hall in a 1711 will.
