May 3, 2007 Richard G. Manjone, 83, of Grove Street, Weston, passed away Thursday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born in Weston March 17, 1924, he was the son of the late Leonard and Angeline (Troiani) Manjone and spent all his life in Weston. Richard was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Weston, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving on the USS Robert F. Keller as a GM 2/c. He retired as plant manager from BFF, Berwick. A welder, mason, carpenter and carpetmaker, he started and led the three-member Hardly-Able Construction Co. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his brothers Joseph and Leonard Manjone; and a sister, Marie Orosz. Fully active until his death, and a devoted family man, he will be deeply missed by his wife, the former Clara Cherko, to whom he was married 59 years this past Jan. 3; his children, Michele Bolinsky and her husband, Jim, Bloomsburg; and Richard A. Manjone and his wife, Cindy, Avondale; his grandchildren, Jennifer Hunsinger and her husband, Andrew, Catawissa; and Richard Joshua Manjone, Dartmouth, Mass; his two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Nicholas Hunsinger; and a nephew, Roger Manjone. He is also survived by his brother, Roger Manjone, Weston; his sisters, Elaine Manuele and Jean Horvath, both of Hazleton; and Connie Zivanovich, Steelton; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. (West), 1265 Rock Glen Road, Rock Glen, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Weston. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
