Richard Manwaring was baptized on July 13, 1673. He was the son of Oliver Mainwaring and Hannah Raymond.[1]
Richard married Eleanor Jennings on May 25, 1710. They had seven children.[1]
Rchard Manwaring died before May 10, 1763, when the inventory of his estate was taken.[1]

Oliver Mainwaring or Manwaring, seaman and mariner, younger son of Oliver Mainwaring, a Gentleman of Exeter, Sowton and Dawlish, Devon, by his wife, Prudence Ashe (or Aishe, Ayshe). He immigrated to Connecticut and settled in New London, marrying Hannah Raymond before 1662. The couple had two sons, Richard (bp. 13 Jul 1673) and Oliver (bp. 2 Feb 1678/9), and eight daughters. The first four Hannah, Elizabeth (m. Peter Harris), Prudence (m. John Beckwith), Love (m. John Richards) were all baptised in 1671. The later four were baptised in order, Judith (bp. Apr. 1676, m. Simon Ray), Bathsheba (bp. 9 May 1680), Anne (bp. 18 Jun 1682, m. Jeremiah Wilson) and Mercy (m. Jonathan Palmer). Oliver died in New London on 3 November 1723, and left a will proved December 19th of that year. [2] All his children were living at the time of his death.
