In these census returns, Robert and his wife, Jane were living in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, England. In the 141 Census they were listed living in Bolckow's Buildings -named after Henry Bolckow an industrialist of the town. The family comprised Robert, aged 45, Jane, then 40, their son John, aged 20, daughter, Jane, Lancelot, 14, William, 5 and James, 3.
Durham County Advertiser - 5th July 1850. Lancelot Barron and his brother Robert Barron were charged with being drunk and fighting in a public place - they were fined 5 shillings with 1 shilling and sixpence costs each.
