ROBERT E. BAYLY HONESDALE - Robert E. Bayly of Honesdale, formerly with the PA Department of Transportation, died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at home. He was 79. Son of the late Robert Roy and Della Maude Beemer Bailey, he was born on the family farm. He was a member of the Roundtop Hunting Club and the Ace Snowmobile Club. Survivors include his wife, Marion Elizabeth Hartman Bayly; three sons, Ronald W., Robert Roy and Jeffrey Allen, all of Honesdale; four daughters, Norma Schmidt, Tammy Lynn Hiller, Patsy Ann Mullen, all of Honesdale and Susan Louise Lake of Narrowsburg; a sister, Grace Cooper of Pittsburgh; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by three daughters, Liona Brown, Louise Perry and Hazel Daniels. Burial was in the Smith Hill Cemetery.

related? Robert D. Bayly, 93, of Honesdale, died on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Bethany Village where he was residing. Born on October 24, 1924 in Honesdale, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Irma Diener Bayly. For many years, Bob worked for PennDOT at Indian Orchard. Bob was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Honesdale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Donald Bayly. He is survived by several close friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6th at Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale at noon. Interment will follow in Indian Orchard Cemetery.
