About Robert Crowder
Robert Crowder, son of Abraham Crowder, was born in Mecklenburg County VA in 1768. He appears on an early 1782 tax roll in Mecklenburg County VA and marries Lively Hastings in Feb of 1788 in Mecklenburg County VA.
After the birth of daughter Rebeckka in 1794 the family moved to Rutherford County NC in 1795. Rutherford County NC land grant on First Broad River issued to Robert Crowder in Jul 1794. He apparently moves his family to Rutherford during 1795 and makes additional land purchases along First Broad in 1797, 1799, 1800, 1802, and 1813.
Daughter Rebeckka married Thomas Ledford in Rutherford County NC in 1812.
Robert Crowder appears in the 1810 Rutherford County NC Census.His Rutherford County NC probate was dated Jan 1820.
