Robert Foote is my ancestor. He was known as "Robert Foote of Shalford".
The link to Helen Warren Foote as Robert's mother is tentative. There are compelling genealogies where this appears to be fact, and if she isn't his mother I feel she might be his grandmother.
My earlier research showed this Robert's father was named Robert. "Thirty-One English Emigrants Who Came to New England by 1662" by Dorothy C. and Gerald E. Knoff. Family History Library in Salt Lake City, UT US/CAN 929.273 Al53k. These people visited England in 1967. I have forwarded this information from this record to other researchers for collaboration.
An article in The American Genealogist, Vol 72, page 54-5, gives our Robert's parents as JOHN Foote (d.1558) and ELLEN Warren, and further states that Ellen married a man named John Hall following said John's death. But it is in tree format and no details are given at all."

I tried to locate an electronic copy at the LDS library or any copy for others to review or to purchase, but did not find any available. Here is a website with more information about the book:
According to "Thirty-One English Emigrants Who Came to New England by 1662" by Dorothy C. and Gerald E. Knoff: "Robert was born to Robert Foote of Royston, Cambridgeshire, "descended out of Lincolnshire,".
"Robert died in London but was buried in Shalford on February 5th, 1608 at The Church of Saint Andrew, according to the church register." His will mentions his wife, Joan."

on Pg 15 it mentions that Robert wad burned, this is the only place I have seen this. Do you suppose they intended to say buried or as I had originally thought, he was burned as part of religious persecution?"
