About Robert Freeman
1885 Apr 15: A young man named Robert Freeman, a cousin of Mr Walter Freeman's, and a recent arrival from Home, met with a serious accident today on Mr Walter Freeman's farm, at Berhampore. He had gone into a paddock to catch a pony, when, in some way, he managed to get his left leg between the animal's hind ones while opening a slip panel, and his leg was snapped about midway between knee and ankle. Mr Walter Freeman at once conveyed him to the Hospital, where it was deemed advisable to amputate the limb, and the operation was accordingly performed. The sufferer is as well as can be expected.
