Robert A. Kerns

Robert Austin Kerns, 69, who retired six years Ago from the employ of the St. Joseph board of public works, died Wednesday night at his home, 412 Hickory street. He had been in poor health several years. A native of Carroll county, Mo., Mr. Kerns had lived here since 1926. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ethel Kerns; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Kelley, Selinar, Cal.; one son, Jack Kerns, St. Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Jewel; Chillicothe, Mo., and Mrs. Lillie Wods, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The body is at the Rupp mortuary pending service arrangements.
