Robert Dickinson Knight

Age 58, died at his residence in Swansboro, son of the late Col. William Carter Knight and Elizabeth Gurant Knight. Brother of Mrs. Charles T. (Jennie Wickliff Knight) O'Ferrall, and half-brother of, Mr. Wray Thomas Knight

Served during the war in the Richmond Howitzers as a lieutenant. He was badly wounded during the war and was an invalid at the time of his death.

Survivors included his widow, Alice and two daughters.
