

Robert Lewis Sandy was the husband of Sarah Hall Sandy and father to Lena, Robert and Chester. After marrying Sarah in 1900, the family lived in Buffalo, New York for two years where Robert worked on installing and operating presses at the Buffalo News. He was a machinist most of his working life.
They then moved to Brooklyn, NY with their daughter Lena, who was born in New England and son Robert who was born in Buffalo, NY. Their third Child Chester was born in Brooklyn. The family also lived on the Housatonic River in Connecticut during the First World War where Robert Lewis Sandy worked on the big guns, drilling out the bore. The next move was to Baltimore MD after the war where they remained for some years.
Robert and Sarah Sandy resided in Floral Park, NY in their final years. Robert passed away at age 53 only a few months after traveling to Western NY to visit his son Robert, Robert's wife Violet Pearl and my newly born father, Robert Nelson Sandy.
Daughter Lena lived in NYC most of her life, son Chester and wife Hazel lived on Long Island, NY and son Robert and wife Violet Pearl lived in Sinclairville NY.
