About Robert Neely
5) Robert Neely (~1629) - This man was listed as a witness to the marriage of John Donnell in the Derry Cathedral in 1655. Therefore, he most likely was between the age of 21 and 30 in 1655. If it is assumed that he too was likely a son of William (1630 muster roll), the missing or available "slot" in the birth of the children would have been about 1629, making him 21 years old in 1655. In addition, there is a Robert Neely listed in the 1666 Hearth Money Roll of Rowhillen Parish, Donegal. If Robert was indeed born in 1629, he would have been 37 years old in 1666 and about the right age to have a house with a fireplace. Therefore, I assume this Robert Neely was a son of William (1) and a younger brother of William (2) and John (3) and remained in the Londonderry area.
