In 1841 Robert was at School aged 11 in West Ham.

1851 aged 21 - a carpenter - he was with is sister Sarah and her husband Samuel Rich - Mile end Old Town - Tower Hamlet

Tragically Robert and Jane's twins born in April 1853 both died of diarhoa within days of one another in July 1853

The couple left for Australia in November 1853.
