Brief overview:
Robert, a farmer from Muldersdrift, was shot by three armed assailants when he opened the safety door of his kitchen at around 01h00 on Tuesday 21st November 2021.
Upon opening the kitchen door, Robert was confronted by the armed men and believed if he complied and surrendered that they would spare his life and that of his fiancée Mariaan Brits.
The perpetrators first shot the couples pitbull dog, before shooting Robert in a hail of bullets, two of which entered his chest and stomach.
The perpetrators fled with an old television, a broken laptop and 2 cellphones.
On a rainy morning of 8th November 2021, Robert was laid to rest at the cemetery on Larsens Road, Muldersdrift.
