Robert Loomis Temple Birth: Aug. 6, 1908 Jefferson Ashtabula County Ohio, USA Death: Jan. 4, 1974 Aliquippa Beaver County Pennsylvania, USA
Robert Temple, of Aliquippa, Pa., was born in Jefferson, Ohio, the son of Archibald Robert Temple and Laura Louise Loomis. He served in the Army Air Corps 1928/29. Employed by the Aliquippa Works of the Jones & Laughlin Steel Corp., retired 1971. Married Lillie M. Schilo 1931, in Pittsburgh. Three sons: Rev. Robert Jr., Richard G., and C. Randall. Nine grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. Favorite sport, baseball...special interest, the American Civil War, particularly the Battle of Gettysburg. In the early 1960s he produced an animated film of the battle which was shown at the 'America at Gettysburg Museum' for about eight years where it was generally acclaimed to be the most authoritative film ever produced on the battle.
