---

Robert Dean Timmons, age 79, passed away peacefully on Feb. 22, 2010, at his home in Lodi after a short illness and surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on August 24, 1930 to Claude Carson and Hazel (Ailara)Timmons in Elmhurst, Illinois. He grew up in the suburban Chicago area and graduated from Argo Comm. High School in 1948. After high school he ventured into the business world taking time out to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Margery Elaine Grinter on Sept. 12, 1953. After working in the asphalt industry and producing several patents for formulations, he decided to branch out into dairy farming in Illinois and Wisconsin. While on the farm, he began to manufacture well drilling screens and other water sampling apparatuses with the aid of his wife and daughters. He moved to Prairie du Sac and formed TIMCO Manufacturing Co., Inc. and continued the fabrication and extrusion of plastic and Teflon pipe fittings and mechanical samplers. He also produced several more patents in the field of ground water sampling equipment before selling the company and retiring to enjoy his favorite sport of golf and playing Euchre. He tried his hand at raising thorough-bred horses and won several trophies for his efforts. He found a 1955 Buick like the one he owned in his early married life and restored it to be a trophy winner, also. He is survived by his wife, Margery, his favorite little pug, Cassie, his four daughters, Renee Timmons, Cheryl (Paul) Harms, Lynn (Doug) Bartholomew and Roberta (Mike) Maier and grand-daughters, Amber (Jesse) Ringelstetter, Tracy (Chad) Holub, Erica Maier, Jennifer Armstrong and grand-sons, Robert (Tara) Maier, Cale Armstrong, Nick Fitzgerald and 2 great-grand-daughters Molly Ringelstetter and Lexi Holub along with his two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. There will be a Visitation on Feb. 26, 2010 from 5:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. at the Winn Cress Funeral Home, 5785 County Road Q, Waunakee. Additional services are private. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Home Health United who helped care and comfort them. To: Bill, Don and Sparky (my golfing buddies) please schedule a tee time - I will meet you on the 1st tee shortly!
