About Roberta Lee Rein
Roberta Lee Rein, 84 died Saturday December 5, 2009 at the Mitchell Care Center. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
Roberta was born October 10, 1925 in Lincolnville, Kansas to Dave and Mollie (Schwemer) Herbel. After the family moved to the Scottsbluff area Roberta attended school at Victory Hill. She and Jake Rein were united in marriage on July 26, 1946 in Scottsbluff. Roberta worked side by side with Jake on the family farm. She enjoyed bowling as well as being an accomplished painter, Roberta also enjoyed cooking for family and friends alike. She was always there for everyone.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical Church.
She is survived by her son Harlan Rein of Mitchell and her daughter Loralee Schwartzkopf and family of Mitchell. Brothers Raymond (Ann) Herbel of Scottsbluff and Dave (Betty) Herbel of Texas, sister Esther Bastron of Scottsbluff as well as numerous nephews and nieces and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jake and a son Allen Rein, as well as 14 brothers and sisters.
