Roderick Albert Lloyd, 99, of Spotsylvania County passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at Amerisist Assisted Living. Mr. Lloyd enrolled in the CCC Camp in the 1930s. He had retired from the FMC plant as a shift foreman. Mr. Lloyd taught himself to play classical guitar and enjoyed playing music written by Fernando Sor, Francisco Tarrega and Johann Sebastian Bach.
He is survived by his two children, Patsy Halalilo of Hawaii and John Lloyd of Blacksburg. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Glorena W. Lloyd; second wife Christine B. Lloyd; his parents, Robert and Elza Brooks Lloyd; four brothers; and six sisters.
