Services for Roger Sparks 1461 Marble Road, Clemons, who died Thursday at mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames were held Monday at 10:a.m. at the Clemons United Church Of Christ in Clemons. The Rev. David Lewis, New Providence, will officiate. Burial was at the Clemons Cemetery.
Roger was born July 24, 1920 in Marshall County to Floyd and Louise (Carkhuff) Sparks. Sr. He attended the Liberty School North of Clemons.
Roger married Ina Mae Rash Oct. 5 1945 in Waterloo.
Roger served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a staff sergeant during world War 2.
Roger was a member of the Clemons United Church of Christ and the disabled American Vets.
