About Roman L. Troyer
WINESBURG -- Roman L. Troyer, 77, 2024 U.S. Route 62, Winesburg, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home. He was born in Sugarcreek on Oct. 6, 1932, to David A. and Lydia (Shetler) Troyer and married Alma L. Yoder on Dec. 2, 1958. She survives. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Surviving are children, Wayne (Rhonda) Troyer and Nettie (Myron) Troyer, both of Winesburg, Ada (Wayne) Coblentz of Shreve, David (Kelly) Troyer of Mount Eaton, Gladys (Jonas Jr.) Mullet of Sugarcreek and Fannie Mae (Leroy) Keim of Mount Hope; 19 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers, Wayne Troyer of Sugarcreek, Henry (Anna) Troyer of Strasburg and Jonas (Lovina) Troyer of Sugarcreek; and a sister, Amanda Troyer of Farmerstown. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers; and a sister. Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the William Byler residence, 2019 U.S. Route 62, with Bishop Aden Hershberger officiating. Burial will be in the Troyer Cemetery, Paint Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the family residence. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements.
