Rommie Edward Kidd

Rommie Edward Kidd, 66, of Waynesboro, died on Monday, July 30, 2012, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on January 31, 1946, in Charlottesville, a son of the late Wilbur Clinton and Bertha Mae (Wood) Kidd. Mr. Kidd worked at Brown Automotive and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending car shows and restoring and painting old cars.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, George E. Kidd and Randall W. and Tina (Woods) Kidd; two grandchildren, Ethian Kidd and MaryAlyce Kidd; three brothers, Wilber, David and Robert Kidd; three sisters, Ruby Woods, Lois Graves and Rachael Simmons; and two special friends, Betty Floyd and Lloyd Barnes.

A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
