Ronald Eugene Thomson

Dad grew up in St. John's Orphanage and foster homes. The Clark's home was the only one we know of where he was placed with siblings. The Clarks were using the foster children as laborers on their farm. Sadie reached the social worker and got them out of that home. Dad was placed with the Holcombs.The Holcombs had 2 birth daughters as well as my father. Dad said he didn't know his birth last name until he turned 18. He went to Yale High School so I think he probably was known as Ronald Holcomb probably from the class of 1954. He then attended Asbury College in Kentucky where he met my mother and they married December 15, 1956.
